Urdaneta City is Seal of Good Local Governance Awardee

The City of Urdaneta was conferred the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance by the Department of the Interior and Local Government during the awarding ceremonies held in Pasay City last October 27, 2016.

Mayor Amadeo Gregorio Perez IV personally received the plaque from DILG Secretary Ismael Sueno.  Mayor Perez dedicated the award to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, the department heads and employees, and the people of Urdaneta “for their unyielding cooperation, all-out support, and admirable industry, making Urdaneta a model of good governance”.

Urdaneta was cited for “symbolizing the city’s journey toward good local governance upholding the standards of transparency, integrity and service delivery”.

Urdaneta City passed rigid evaluations on Financial Administration, Social Protection, Disaster Preparedness, Environmental Management, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, and Peace and Order conducted by regional and national evaluators early this year.

As incentive, the city will receive P3.4 million from the Performance Challenge Fund to finance priority local development projects.
